Hi, Just joined this board, and thought that if any of you are interested in long distance hiking (or just reading a good adventure Smile) you might enjoy, "Dances With Marmots" - It's an account (in online book style) of a five month, 4300km solo hike, from Mexico up into Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail, through the wilderness areas of California, Oregon, and Washington - it's also a look at the US wildernes through the eyes of a Kiwi. (New Zealander) Wink
Cheers, Geo.

Thanks for the link, Geo. I have always wanted to hike the PCT. I live in Oregon, so have occasionally done a few small sections near the Gorge and Central Oregon, but I would like to do the whole thing. Two girls I know hiked from Canada to Mexico on the PCT in 1998. It sounded like a fabulous journey.

Cheers,
Donovan
