I'm thinking of doing an adventure starting from the Pongo de Mainique, near Cusco, Peru, in a few weeks. From the Pongo, we'd head down the Urubamba river on a balsa raft for a week or more over class II and III rapids through some really remote jungle. I'm still in the information gathering stage. Does anyone know about this region? Anyone interested in joining me?
