Does anyone have any information on cycling from Leh to Manali?
Things useful would be: condition of road, food points, water, hotels and altitude problems. Thanks, Russell |

Here's a link with more info on cycling the highest road in the World.
http://www.sentient-entity.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ I've hiked in Nepal up to 17,500ft and let me tell you I was moving pretty slow at that altitude. Every muscular effort taxes you, though once at rest you feel fine. I strongly suggest taking several acclimatization days and not trying to be tough guy. I got a touch of AMS and remedied this by eating lots of carbs, drinking plenty of water and eating salt. Take care and have a great trip. Nick |
