Do you have a favorite adventurous expedition website that you love to check up on?
This is largely for research purposes, but I'm wondering what kind of expeditions are going on right now and how the people on those trips are using technology to keep their fans updated on their progress. If you have a favorite site, what is it that really impresses you about it? The written content? Photos? Video updates? A couple of the sites I follow: http://www.ridingthespine.com/ Cycling offroad from Prudhoe Bay, to Tierra Del Fuego. Great photos, funny stories, extremely cool expedition idea. http://www.oceangybe.com/ Sailing around the world to study ocean pollution, and maybe to surf a bit along the way. Informative writing. http://goliath.mail2web.com/ A 14 year, 36,000 mile journey by foot from South America to England. Insane trip. |

I'm checking Crazy Guy On A Bike on a weekly basis. My current favorite: Heading into the Himalayas (From Shimla to Leh).

I tend to follow whatever latest expedition Mike Horn is up to. Wish he'd have an RSS feed, though.
Ground Truth Trekking recently finished From time to time Ryan Jordan is doing something most recently Arctic 1000 Occasionally I'll see what Borge Ousland is doing. And I bookmarked Cycling Home from Siberia. Found out about it after it was done, but it looked interesting, eventually I'll go back and have a read. |

Yeah, I read Cycling Home From Siberia as well. Great stuff. The only person I could find who actually rode through PNG. Impressive.
