February? actually it is pretty cold in february but still you can enjoy the city. Personally, I think the cheapest time to go to Turkey was about 15 years ago. It's getting pretty expensive now.

I don't know - compared to lots of other places, it seems pretty cheap so far (of course, I have really only priced hotels in Istanbul). But the hotel I'm at, which seems very nice, is only around $40 for a single ensuite, which includes breakfast, etc. So I'm not complaining - especially since I leave for Turkey TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY! Yippee!!!

if you want to enjoy the city in a nice weather and sun, the cheapest time is april and may. but if you think the historical places etc. is the things you want to see of course winter is the cheapest.
