I, and possibly a girl friend of mine, am/are going to Israel sometime in the next year to train in Krav Maga. We are both shoestringers, yet clean and conservative; is it advisable to look for work there, and if so, what luck should we expect? I have heard both that finding work in Israel is difficult or ill advised, and conversely that Israel needs immigrant workers for menial jobs and it's very easy to get low-wage work there.

If anyone knows about taking Krav Maga, that information would also be appreciated. If my friend comes, I think she knows some rudimentary Hebrew, but I only speak English. Will this be a problem?

I do not know where in Israel I will be going, and it could be that I walk it a bit before decided where to stop. However, if either work or Krav Maga training would favor a certain city or region, that'd be nice to know.

I'm in no rush for information as this is a ways off. Thanks in advance for any help!
