My USA passport is getting pretty full and I have run out of all of my pages except for the last few (for amendments etc.) They have been stamped in the past and there is still room for a few more entry/exit stamps. My concern is that these last pages aren't legally allowed to be used for stamps, is this true? I am trying to avoid paying a lot of money for extra pages. thanks.

Re: silly question
Extra pages are free. Just send your passport in. If you are in a foreign country you can go to a consulate and they will do it while you wait.

Re: silly question
Just an FYI- I just did this about 3 weeks ago and it took less than a week to get my passport back from the National Passport Center (if you are in the US)...

Re: silly question
A travel buddy I was with was in and out of the US Embassy in Ho Chi Ming City (Saigon), Vietnam in less than an hour with 24 more pages in his passport. The new pages were lettered, not numbered, and they stamped an official seal on the amendments page declaring when and where the new pages were put in.

Re: silly question
I got extra pages in Kenya at the US Embassy once and I remember just waiting for it to be done. I think it's pretty fast if you're in another country.

Re: Extra Passport Pages
I got extra pages put in my passport last year as well. Only, I was running low on time and so I went to a passport/visa service agency and had to pay a premium to have it rush serviced.
My only gripe is that, my current passport is from 2003, which has the plain predominantly blue pages with the patterned background, with lines forming four boxes and the new pages have no boxes and have a background of American landscape/monument scenes, and so they don't match.
