We have recently returned from a great trip to South Africa for the FIFA World Cup. What an amazing experience. As an ex South African, I will always feel SA is one of the greatest family travel destinations in the world as it offers so much - wildlife, beaches, spectacular landscapes, food, relatively inexpensive, great climate, easy driving, good infrastructure and wonderful cultural mix. Mozambique on the other hand is real Africa, with the good and bad that entails. We spent a week there, including horrendous 8-9 hour drives from Maputo to Tofo. Would never consider that again ! In many places the country looks like it has fallen apart but there is a terrific vibrancy about it. And Tofo is wonderful. But the driving was hair raising.

Any questions on these destinations are very welcome.
