Favorite Africa Pictures: Show us!

Postby Donovan » May 23rd, 2006

Show us one of your favorite pictures of Africa. Upload your favorite picture from either while you were traveling around Africa. Or, if you have never been to Africa, but really want to go, upload that inspiring picture and tell us why it gets you excited.

To post a picture, click on the little picture icon on top of the reply window (between the envelope and the left & right pointy arrows on the right-hand side) and link to its URL - that means you've got to have it posted somewhere online already, whether that's your blog or a photo hosting site. To get the URL of the specific image, you can either click on the image to get a page with just that picture, or you can right-click on it, select "Properties" and copy & paste the URL listed there.

Here is one of my favorite pictures. It's actually me, and a number of the children that I used to live with in Tanzania. 3 of these children I am still helping to pay for their school fees. These children were my life blood in Tanzania. They helped me explore the mountain, get things done, and get out of problems, like my LandRover getting stuck in the mud every other day.

It's really hard to pick a single favourite. Here's one: Kenya - working with diabled children.

My MySpace Page has one good picture of myself on there with a family I stayed with in Nairobi, I plan to add a few more in the next couple days. It also has my blog from my Africa trip from last summer. enjoy
So many miles and so many roads. So many people who don't even know my name. So many times I've looked to Western skies, and here I go... just the same.

Hi

This is my favourite photo taken in Etosha, Namibia. This male and the female that was beside him had just finished doing what lions do a lot during the mating season when I took this shot. You can see that he was not amused.

Regards

I can't give just one...

Mzimba, Malawi - Siblings Amos and Rebecca - they just got finished asking me a jumbled question in Tumbuka and were waiting for me to answer, even though they know I have no idea what they're saying

Lisa was the prettiest baby

I love this one so much becuase this was the first time I'd seen a father show affection for his child. Jack was the only man I saw that didn't worry about being seen as 'weak' becuase he helped his wife with the children.
