Hi,

I'm hoping to visit Morocco in early December with a friend. He's suggested flying to southern Spain or Gibraltar and taking the ferry over the Straits. From what I can see, most of the ferry companies don't have schedules for December for eg. Tarifa/Algeciras to Tangier. Is this because they're not running in the winter? Any alternatives?

Seriously though: ferry schedules are for sissies. Get down there, stay overnight at a pension that is *not* listed in the book, and then get a ticket over to Tangier. And then, get the hell out of that shithole as fast as possible...

I will be in morocco in < 1 week. Flying Madrid - Marrakech, then overland to Tarifa.

i checked...their schedule goes to December....the schedule looks pretty similar the whole year.

If you wait in a boat by the coast in unwatched waters, you might catch a refugee boat on the way to spain, and borrow it for the way back. The captain might not mind a return fare, if he doesn't kill you for the act of witnessing his crime.

Maybe I'll take an inflatable paddling pool and a tea-tray to row with.
