I've been digging around and came across a resource that could be of a lot of use to LGBT travelers. The International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association or ILGA publishes a yearly report on the laws governing homosexuality in every country of the world. They also publish a map that shows each countries basic legal stance visually. It's very useful when deciding where to go and where to avoid. I was surprised to find that there are still 5 countries in which homosexuality is punishable by death. Yikes!
