If you capitalize every letter of the alphabet, there are only five countries that do not have enclosed letters in their names.
A closed letter is a letter than has an enclosed space, for example P or O or D.
This really gets people going and despite only being five countries, is a pretty absorbing task.
Question is, what are the countries?
Obviously the down-side is it's only played once.
Another great one is just simply word association, I passed a good few hours playing that on a horrible 37 hour bus journey from Dar Es Salaam to Kampala going the long way round lake victoria. You really get a feel for how your travelling partner's mind works as well, it can be quite enlightening.

Nice one.
Three more, one fairly obvious, the other two pretty obscure.
Very few people that I've asked have managed to get all five on their own without cheating.

Even cheating I can't find #5. Is it a real country or some sort of semi-autonomous region like Jersey?

Wahey finito.
Well then, you can only do it once but it does keep you occupied for some time, depending on your geographical ability obviously.
