Galapagos with one diver and one snorkeler.

My husband and I are looking to book a ship in the Galapagos sometime during May. Our biggest issue is that one of us is PADI certified and would like to do a lot of diving, but also doesn't want to sacrifice the land activities that are available. The other one of us would like to replace snorkeling with diving. What are you recommendations for our situation?
