The only destination that doesn't count are airport stop-overs whern you never left the airport. I barley remember Verona. I remember it was nice and romantic, went for dinner with my gf...got drunk...some recollection of neighbours in the hotel complaining about the music somewhen during the night...embarassing meeting with them at the breakfast buffet...my gf dragging me into a train...feeling sick.

Damn I love Cuba Libres....

Hmmm, this will be tough to do I bet, though I've been a lot of places, so here goes...

Algiers, Algeria
Bujumbura, Burundi
Cairo, Egypt
Darwin, Australia
Edinburgh, Scotland, UK
Fez, Morocco
Gbadolite, Democratic Republic of Congo
Hanga Roa, Rapa Nui (Easter Island), Chile
Iquitos, Peru
Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan, China (Or Jerusalem if you don't count airports for parks as cities)
Kyoto, Japan
LaRochelle, France
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Nairobi, Kenya
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA
Port Douglas, Australia
Quincy, Massachusetts and Quincy, California (both USA)
Rejkyavik, Iceland
San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
Tel Aviv, Israel
Ueno City, Japan
Vaitape, Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Waldorf, Germany
X -
Y - Yreka, California, USA
Zurich, Switzerland

Actually not too shabby. I really struggled with X but can't think of any I've been to! I'm making that a priority from here on. Xian or Xochimilco here I come!

Good job Jasmyne!

I'm afraid I wasn't careful enough about not repeating countries, so I really should revise my list again.

Arusha, Tanzania (instead of Algiers)
Bujumbura, Burundi
Copenhagen Denmark (instead of Cairo)
Darwin, Australia
Edinburgh, Scotland, UK
Fez, Morocco
Gbadolite, Democratic Republic of Congo
Hanga Roa, Rapa Nui (Easter Island), Chile
Iquitos, Peru
Jiuzhaigou, Sichuan, China
Kano, Nigeria (instead of Kyoto)
Luxor, Egypt (instead of LaRochelle, France)
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Nairobi, Kenya
Oran, Algeria (instead of OKC)
Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia
Quimper, France (instead of Quincy)
Rejkyavik, Iceland
San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
Tel Aviv, Israel
Ueno City, Japan
Vaduz, Lichtenstein
Waldorf, Germany
X -
Yreka, California, USA
Zurich, Switzerland

OK, I think they are all distinct countries now! Whoo, that's a lot of work to figure out.

Does it count if you've only been to the train or bus station? Not passing by obviously, but getting off to change trains, or buy something or smoke a cigarette during a longer stop, I mean.
