Hi there!

I'm currently planning my first RTW and I'm addicted to travel blogs. Do you have a favorite travel blog that has:

1. Great content- Content with personality, not just a "this is what I did today" post format.
2. Easy readability- Not littered with affiliate links trying to constantly sell me something
3. Great design- Easy on the eyes

Thanks in advance! And I look forward to some great recommendations!

Are you looking for solely people that are doing a RTW trip? Just people out on the road maybe in one area? How about people who have been out and are inbetween at the moment? Here's a few:

A couple on long RTW trip - http://www.uncorneredmarket.com/
A Bootsnaller heading out this week - http://www.rerunaround.com/
This guy's in Mexico now and does a little different write ups - http://www.wanderingearl.com/
Not sure where she's at right now - http://www.ottsworld.com/
In Africa, had his camera stolen, computer is dying, don't what kind of updates will be coming - http://jtrek.blogspot.com/
My favorite travel right now. She's in Oakland, still writing new stuff, but not on the road. Also submits to other sites so follow her on twitter if you want to catch all of it @travelerlauren - http://lonelygirltravels.com/

If you are interested in off the beaten track 'blogging', then check out Crazy Guy On A Bike. Yes, it's traveling by bicycle and not backpacking, but you might actually find some places/stories you won't find on the backpacker trail.

My favourite is : http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Jabe/

Amazing 457 blog entries from all over the world during the span of 3 years.
Lots of great pictures and good experiences. He also has a lot of price information so you can get a good feel of the prices in a country.

Old thread, sorry.

But my favorite, and the first one I started regularly following, is http://www.nomadicmatt.com. He's funny, relatable, and I am envious of his job.

I tend to like family RTW blogs. A few examples are:

http://familyonbikes.org/blog/
http://www.sixintheworld.com/ (They are back now and don't post very often.)
