Don't ask me how I found Green Apron Monkey since it happened in the usual way of random clicking about of link after link after link.
Some of it is painfully self indulgent (perhaps as many blogs can be) but much of it is delightful:
Me vs Mandarin
Advice for the Socially Awkward
Devil's Phrasebook Because, really, everyone should know how to say, 'My liver hates me,' and 'Don't worry, the dog ate all the vomit,' in every language.

Well, in what will probably be a fruitless effort to pimp this thread ... I'm going to link to what I consider a classic entry from the BnA-hosted blog "Traveling with Sean and Jennifer". (It's in the RTW-completed section.) They were traveling through China at the time, and had a funny little adventure trying to mail something back to the US one day.
"Hell is the China Post"
Oh I remember this one...good one!! Where and Sean and Jennifer now...give us an update guys. What you been upto!!
Holy crap! So I'm only answering this a year and a half later, but what the heck. I just now noticed it.
Thanks for the kind words. We've had adventure after adventure since then, but I do have a new blog set up. You can reach it at Great Diversions. It will eventually highlight our time in Kiev, Ukraine when we move their next year, but for now it is mostly about life in the Foreign Service stuff.
And just so I'm not totally pimping my own blog, I have to give props to Erik's original blog with that rockin' video. It was very inspiring to me.

Does this mean that we cannot call you "Blog Boy"?quote:And just so I'm not totally pimping my own blog,

My sister, brother in law and 8-month-old nephew have recently set down in Argentina where they'll be spending the next 4 months.
Their experiences are all documented on:
Bugsy and His Bandits (bugsy being my nephew.)
While I like to think that my 'blog is modestly entertaining, Ka-Hung's beats the pants off it. I just love his writing, and am constantly impressed by the way he deals just as well with serious subjects as silly ones.

No travel blogs is weird. I mean, they have a crafts blog category, so it's not like they are averse to the niche blogs.
But anyway - my blog was nominated for best Latin American Blog!! Here is the link if anyone cares to vote for it, or some of the other blogs.

Cool MeganL ..I hope you win!
Well mine will probably not appeal to this crowd but I was pretty thrilled when National Geographic Inside Traveler called us one of “the best family traveling blogs floating around in cyberspaceâ€.
If you ever wondered what authentic Spanish culture in an ancient small pueblo blanco is like I think this recent podcast that went with this recent post gives a glimpse.
Of course I have no clue as to what I am doing but it is fun trying to learn as I go.

Hey, we're blogmates. Mine was on NGT Inside Traveler this week!
I will definitely check your blog out... traveling as a family is going to be the next step for us. (Well, I mean, in a few years!)

Cool! Our friend from here, houseblend also got a mention a while back. Great people and site at NGT Inside Traveler with great taste.
You will loooove traveling as a family ( especially as they get past 5 and it gets easier). In all of our life travels, we find this mode the best and most rewarding...something wonderful about sharing the world with your child and great bonding and shared memories.
