This might be a common or well known practice but i still want to ask;
I visited London last week (for the first time) and when i was leaving nobody asked for my passport or stamped anything. I haven't experienced this before! so i have the entrance stamp but not the exit.. is this ok? (i am sure they have been tracking with boarding info.s etc but just want to be sure -because i adored the city and the life and will probably visit again in a small while)

Heathrow Customs -exit

Fairly common practice for Heathrow.
As long as you have some activity on your passport since you left (entrance stamp on your next country, etc), it won't gather too much suspicion on your next visit. My understanding is they are largely looking for people who are basically living illegally in the UK. For example, if you have a 6 month travel visa, stay for 5 1/2 months, leave for a week and then come back. Well, even without an exit stamp they could likely decifer that information from the other stamps on your passport.
If you're here for a few weeks, leave, and then come back months later, you're likely not to have any problems, provided you have a return ticket, etc.
