Help needed for work ideas abroad for 40y.o with UK Passport

I'm looking some ideas for my crazy plan.... Well, I have just turned 40, I'm a single female with no kids and well, you could say I need to get away from my boring existence in Melbourne, Aust !!.. somewhere there is not alot of stressful crazy people and heaps of sunshine !! ... I'm Looking for work options abroad, ideas anyone.. ?? .. I've researched myself online but am not getting very far, there seems to be alot of work in teaching, I dont have any teaching qualifications and honestly I would prefer not to do that (unless it was older kids) .. Obviously my age comes into play with regard to work visa's (aside from using my UK passport) I prefer not to live in the UK tho, it's too much like Melbourne ! .. I am willing to do any work, I am an experienced in Finance, Account Receivable and Medical Billing .. I dont have a time limit ... I just want to start living my dream and live a totally different lifestyle .. :)

Any ideas would be much appreciated .. !!

One way to see the world is to crew on sailing boats and yachts. If you don't have sailing skill, you can work as a "hostess," or "stewardess," which is basically a cook/maid. Having sailed a bit, I've met several people who are doing that in Greece who really enjoy it. The pay, as I understand it, is horrible. But it often includes room and board. I always thought it would be fun to do for a few months or a year, perhaps somewhere like Turkey or Thailand. Unfortunately, my cooking skills are wretched. Crewfinders.com has some info.

Remember that UK citizens can work throughout the EU, so that's 27 countries where you can look for any job that interests you. Do you speak any other languages? Unless you're in an English speaking country, it will probably be difficult to find jobs other than teaching or tourist industry stuff without knowing the local language.

Hi Need2Getaway,

If you really want something different and maybe even some steps in the Carreer Ladder then Check the Middle Eas! Sunshine is here enough, and in Your Areas of experience are lots of Vacant slots especially with UK Passports. Im here quite a Time as Expat and its alright compared to Europe. Have a look and a Though about that...

Good Luck
