Hiking clothing for Costa Rica

Hey Everyone,

I am going hiking/camping in June, in Costa Rica, I am trying to find hiking clothes that would be appropriate for the tropical weather in June. My problem is everything I am coming across is really pricey and the material seems heavy. Should I just stick to quick dry? I don't really want to get something that may cost more if it is wrong to wear while in CR.

Any help would be appreciated, plus if you know of any cost effective brands that I can look for that would be wonderful. thanks in advance
