I am not getting in until late Friday - probably midnight by the time I make it to the hostel. If there is any hope for me surving Saturday Trinque and then hauling a$$ to Seattle and back Sunday, I will be because I retired to my bunk almost immediately upon arriving Fri. Lame, I know Shrug

If you have extra mugs laying around the house that you want rid of, now is the time. The hostel can probably use them.

So I just heard from the hostel, we are outgrowing our usual area so they are moving us into their "group center" which has a private kitchen and a large crock pot for lots of cider!!!!

That means our bed space has increased, so keep the reservations coming!!!!

I know all my fellow Booties and I who live right in the hostel neighborhood are really looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Here's a general news brief for any beer drinkers and/or cheapskates who are coming:

That little market/beer store that we kept going to in years past, which was conveniently located about 100 yards from the hostel, was bulldozed along with that whole block early this year. There's now a large building being constructed there.

The Trader Joe's is still just a few blocks down the street, and as most people know they have great cheap wine and good affordable beer, but it closes at 9pm and the beer isn't cold.

There's another market similar to the bulldozed one about 5 blocks away, and that one stays open late. And there's also a huge grocery store a similar distance, which closes at 11pm, I think.

The folks at the hostel desk can direct you to all of these places on a map. It's just that it won't be nearly as easy to keep resupplying this year.

Oh no our longer booze shop was bulldozed???? A crime I tell ya.

Just to check then, WHO IS BRINGING THE RUM???? and what time do you arrive? just in case you were planning on our booze shop.

I will make a run to trader joes around 2 or 3pm when I get there and clean out their cider supply. If anyone wishes to join me I would love the help carrying things and perhaps going in with me as it looks like we will need to get a SH*T load of cider!

I'll hit the Belmont on Stark ahead of time (its basically a beer store with over 1000 brands to choose from) fill up my roller pack and then head to the hostel probally around noon or so Friday. Anybody in around that time?
