Everyone who's done their share of hosteling has encountered or partaken in some stealthy sex, right? What are you best stories about it?

I was traveling with a couple of Icelandic snacklets after Roskilde Festival, back in the mid-90s. We were at a Copenhagen hostel, which was hosting a post-festival party in the bar downstairs. We felt like some privacy shortly before midnight, and headed upstairs to the room, hoping it would be empty. Opening the door, I remember the light was off, and no one responded to my questions. So ... the fun began, noisily.

The next morning at breakfast, I realized we hadn't been alone. An 17-year old Ozzie guy was trying to sleep in the room. He was traveling with his mother, and she'd also been in the room.

Can you imagine how uncomfortable it would be for an adolescent boy to hear a couple going at it in the same room? The thought of it still makes me giggle.

i for one, get extremely annoyed at such things. however such things arent really any fun unless your one of the parties involved

I once travelled with what I fondly call 'the squeakers'. They had the bunk above me and...squeaked it all through the night.
I pretended I did not know them in the morning.

I guess I'm just old fashoned. If I wanna make whoopie, or am with someone who I think I wanna make whoopie with I opt for a hotel or a private room. But another huge part of that is I dont want anyone not 'involved' getting a glance at my lady parts.

From what I hear (some with my own two ears)... several booties have stories that would be applicable here.

Plural, yes. Those were a couple of the tastier weeks of my life.

Roskilde Festival was amazing when I went, in '96 and '98. Imagine almost 100,000 drunk and horny Scandinavian teenagers camping in a field with live music ...

The shower is normally the best spot for a secret little first time rendezvous - as opposed to a communal dorm room- especially if said shower includes a locking door and and spacious dressing area. Although I did get reported in Prague by a high school groups teacher in the middle of the night and got sent to bed by the smirking hostel staff.... (the same guy who in the morning asked me where I moved the fun too!)

That said I did end up fooling around with a wonderful young lady on a freezing cold Tibetan hotel (with no showers and pit toilets) with another girl (wearing earplugs) in the room, I think we got away without being caught, since we did travel with the third girl for another week and never a smirk was raised... just an arched eyebrow when we announced that we would get a private room the next night.

Who brings a car to a hostel, though? Not even the Ford Escort I had would fit in the overhead compartment. Maybe that was my problem...

I was at the kabul hostel in barcelona in the 22 bed dorm room around the time of carnival, with the most beautiful swedish girl, she told me her room was cold and asked if she could sleep in my bed, i said there were 21 other people in the room but she didn't care, we got to my bunk bed and tore all of our clothes off, i dunno if everyone was asleep, but we had an aswome time, i think we both got off that some one could be watching. But it turned out well i later ditched my friends for a week and stay with her later getting private rooms. there were other times in other countries just not as memorable.
