Too often lumped in with North America, Mexico is a country that stands out on its own.

Heading up to Distrito Federal after I see Palenque. Any hostel recommendations? (Especially any in the area of or subway-able from Mexico TAPO, the bus station I'm arriving at -- less than a km from the Palacio Legislativo). I just got certified to teach EFL so I'll also be looking for work. If I find it, I'll be looking for a room/apartment near where I'm working. Thanks for all!

Hostel Catedral is just off Zocalo, behind the cathedral. The adjacent hotel is a super good deal, at 500 pesos. Only problem is that the area is really quiet at night.
