Hotel or B&B in Chartres

My husband and I are traveling from Paris to Normandy to the Loire Valley in July. We plan to spend our final night in Chartres, on the way to the airport. But I haven't been able to find a decent place to stay in the city. I want to be able to (safely) park the rental car and walk around. It doen't have to be magnificent, but I still want comfort and safety. Any suggestions?
