Hi,
This is probably a long shot since I do not see too many other posts for India and it is getting colder in the north... nevertheless.
I am planning to be in India (Ladakh, in particular) on the 9th Oct and hoping to organize a Markha Valley trek shortly after getting there and hoping to see if someone would be in the area to either meet and/or split costs.
About me: of Indian origin, lived in the US (Boston) for 9 yrs, and now moving out of the US to do some traveling for a few months.
Fairly well traveled (all 7 continents) and have done some multi-day trekking in the past (not a fast hiker though, I am a slugger).
Open to any age/sex/etc.
Anyways, hit me up if in the vicinity etc. and perhaps we can meet.
cheers,
Shri

Thanks Tanveer.
Unfortunately I couldn't control the timing this time around.
While I didn't get travel buddies, I managed to hire a reasonably (according to my budget) guide and completed the trek about a week ago. Probably colder than it would have been in Sep, it was manageable and I got great views (autumn colors + snow towards the end) minus the crowds of trekkers on the trails/home-stays. Also, was able to negotiate lower prices for accommodation in Leh.
Already made tentative plans for my next trek...
cheers,
S
