We have three months for travelling around the islands, but we're not sure how easy it is to travel between the islands by ferry, which ones or groups are the easiest to visit.
The islands I have researched so far are Cuba, Barbados,Dominica,Guadeloupe, would anyone know if we can get ferries between these islands.
We had thought originally of 3 weeks on each island but are now thinking of perhaps 2 weeks and adding on another two islands but would this complicate things.
Anyone have any ideas.
Thanks

Have only been to the Bahamas & Cuba. Never researched any way but flying but know that the only way to Cuba is by plane or private yacht into Hemingway Marina in Havana.

There are supply ships which travel between island nations, but otherwise ferries tend to operate within a particular nation; e.g. the Grenadines have just launched a ferry service between Canouan, Bequia, Union etc.

Your best bet is to get on each island's tourism website to find out about ferries.

An alternative that you might think about is to crew on a yacht in exchange for passage between the islands; there are many cruising yachts sailing about that might consider crew...only thing is you might need to be flexible in your plans...you might not get a ride exactly where you had planned!

From experience, there are ample, safe ferries between Dominica, Martinique, and Guadeloupe. Not sure about the others.

Hope this helps. Also, just FYI, make sure you have proof of onward travel (air tickets) if going in and out of Dominica-only place where we have ever had to show flight info at immigration.

Have been to Barbados and Dominica on Cruises a

and have spent a week in Dominica,. I know that you can use the ferries between Dominica, Martinique and Guadeloupe...

In Dominica we did a 5 day package with nature isle explorers, they were the best..
