Mostly as I was getting seriously annoyed...
So it seems recently that something happened with usernames which meant my pass no longer worked and so needed resetting via email?
Easier said than done due to a nightmare of a captchta system thats been implemented. I'm all for using captcha to limit spam signups but when they're unreadable by machine and human its a bit tough...
That and the emails that need to be sent to get the reset link and then validate!? the email address that hasn't change are scoring so highly with reagrds to spam my mail server has been deleting them. I turned the spam checking off today to make sure I got the email and to see how high my server was scoring it. Some idea of the email address being used to send from would be useful to ensure t can be whitelisted....
So by the time you figure out that the emails are being marked spam to then go back, retype in the captcha letters that look right but turn out to be wrong again, reload a few times for the ones that are totally unreadable... well its gets a tad annoying!
Oh once I had validated and logged in it took me too a non existent page...
Anyway - The new forums look great but if you're making it that frustrating to join then....
Its only taken about a month to login...

Sorry to hear you had such a hard time logging in, mate. The email address that comes from the forums hasn't changed, it's still boards[at]bootsnall.com. If you were getting notifications before the change, you should still be getting them now.
