Too often lumped in with North America, Mexico is a country that stands out on its own.

For the past 2 summers I've been travelling in Central and South America. As any traveler with a limited amount of time and a constant feeling like there were more cities to visit, mountains to climb, jungles to trek and beers to drink, I have been putting off taking my Spanish to the next level. I speak passable "survival spanish" which is to say that I can communicate well enough to get where I'm going, eat and buy shit. But I've known I need (and really really want) to be able to communicate more fully and add rich cultural experience and interactions with locals to the benefits of my travels.

I am planning to travel to Mexico this summer for a little over 3 months. I am interested in taking a rigorous two week course first and then trying a homestay for a week or so. I will probably be flying into the Mexico City area and would like to get into school in a place that provides other activities as well as the availability of a language school.

There is a school for learning Spanish in Mexico. I don't really remember its name. I guess it is Chac-Mool. My friend went to Mexico last month. I will verify if it is the same institute where he learned Spanish language from. He said it has various flexibility in batch timing. He couldn't get tired of praising that school.
