Departing Perth (where I live) and am staying in Seminyak from 3rd to 13th February. Solo trip for me. Lodging at the Bali Ayu - a good cheap budget hotel (well, that is what my travel agent said anyway - it better live up to its reputation).
Would like to meet up with other travellers (especially those that would like to accompany me into Kerobokan), and get along to one of your famous BBQs!
I really want to visit my fellow Australians in gaol (especially Schapelle who is innocent). I booked this months ago - my timing has turned out that it could not be worse; the Bali Nine are in court virtually every day and I wish to stay well clear of the media circus. Also, getting information about how to get into Kerobokan Prison to visit anyone has been well nigh impossible.
Nick - you have actually got into Kerobokan and have visited some prisoners including Schapelle. Can you tell me how to get into Kerobokan Prison and what 'gifts' should I bring that would be of most practical use?
Cheers,
Bali First-timer
