master's programs at university of cape town
i'm finally starting to look into master's programs! has anyone studied at UCT, or know anyone that has? i think i'm not understanding how their system works-- i'm interested in immunology and infectious diseases research but from what i understand, their health sciences MSc's are for licensed physicians (except for maybe their MPH program). their MSc program in cellular/molecular biology holds some promise because they do mention microbiology and disease research, but most of the work their homepage shows are plant and marine biology studies (there were some antibiotic studies listed but i'm not into that). in general, i have no idea how selective these program are, do i still need to take the GRE or if not then what exam would replace it, what other options i should look into, etc. i've tried emailing a couple of people in various departments but haven't gotten any responses..
believe me, i've scoured their website. if any of you can offer any advice, i would really appreciate it!

I studied at UCT (years ago) but I have no idea how to answer your questions ... I think this is the wrong forum for them.
Best of luck anyway.
