This should be a mandatory read for anyone thinking about climbing Kilimanjaro. I really like Ed's story and contemplation on life - and seeing death on the mountain.

Must Read Kilimanjaro Story
Cheesehead
Thanks.
Our trip was awesome in so many ways.
I was a guest blogger for a while on this site and somewhere in "Ed's Pack" is the entire trip story call "Nothing But Sky". Lots more information in there.
I've done a mountaineering school and Mt Rainier since Kili...
In spring 2010 I will be trekking th Mt Everest Base Camp. It is very similar to the Kilimanjaro trip in altitude gain and distance between camps.
Mountains are wonderful places.
Do it if you can...

What does that mean, exactly, to be a "guest blogger"? Somebody invited/asked you/offered to pay you to blog?
Thanks
Thanks

That's it, yes. A guest blogger is someone that has been asked to share their story on the blog. Not paid necessarily, though I suppose that happens too sometimes on other blogs.

Mt. Kilimanjaro is Africa's pride of possession. it is something, a treasure which does not only represent the place3 but the people and their aspirations as well. Truly it is something that Africa must boast of and take care for countless generation.
