Ok, I know that I didn't plan this trip properly as decisions finalize just a few days ago, but is there a way to expidite a Myanmar visa? I was able to get my chinese visa within two days if I paid extra, but don't know if this is possible in this case. If you have any info, it'd be greatly appreciated as Myanmar was the highlight of my trip. :(

You can get a visa on arrival if you fly into Myanmar from Siem Reap (Angkor Wat).

More info here

Read more carefully. It is not really a Visa On Arrival. The visa must be pre-apporved before arriving in Myanmar. You will not even be able to bored the plane without written confirmation of visa acceptance.

Yes. Getting the visa in Bangkok is rather painless. And if you're feeling lazy, there are a number of hostels/tourist agencies which will run to and from the embassy for you for a nominal cost.
