Anybody use natural remedies on the road that worked. I'm thinking of taking some supplements before hitting Kilimanjaro and wondering if anybody used natural herbs to combat nausea etc.
This is what I found...
ChlorOxygen® Chlorophyll Concentrate (extracted from English Stinging Nettles). Use for low red blood cell count, fatigue, shortness of breath, high altitude sickness, or heavy menstrual flow. Intestinal deodorizer.
Dose: Each 36-drop dose delivers 100 milligrams of Chlorophyll Concentrateâ„¢. Take 20-35 drops (before meals) three times a day.

I drank mate de coca and chewed coca leaves (available in the Andes) to help combat symptoms of altitude sickness. Both worked to fight vicious headaches, but were only a temporary solution. Once the coca wore off, the headaches were back when I had altitude sickness problems.
One thing to note is that the coca only masked my symptoms of altitude sickness, it did not get rid of it.
