This thread doesn't have any tags.

You can still check out the tag index though.

What are tags?

I thought I've seen luggage rubber bands or web belts heck I wouldn't mind putting stickers or something but stickers are kinda tacky and probably wear off pretty fast. I just need a way to see that its my luggage (although I do have luggage ID tags too, but those are hard for me to see from a distance) so if anyone knows of where I should look or what to look for please by all means suggest away and I thank you in advance :).

LOL good idea, but I want something that I can use over and over; that bow will fall apart after a few airplane rides

OK, more seriously (although TBH, a simple piece of wide ribbon WILL go all the way round the world if you tight it tightly), you can buy webbing straps - or if you are like us, we made ourselves some. Went to a junk emporium to buy the webbing and plastic clips ver cheaply and away we went.....however, they were the only item we ditched on our travels as totally unnecessary!
I'd still recommend the bow. And if it does get lost, you can easily buy a new one.

yeah been looking at webbing straps, I think that's a better option IMO it needs to be especially if I'll be usig left luggage a lot.

Flagging tape works great, cheap, durable and comes in enough garish neon colours to repel anyone interested in your stuff.

hmm too bad, I found something from REI some bright green luggage webbing strap $10 each I think they're 60 in each. Flagging tape sounds like a better option when the straps get lost or break.

Um yeah I noticed you have problems :)

tbh I don't expect the webbing strap to survive cuz there's already damage to my pack where there's a plastic hook that got sheared off (it attaches to the webbing that came with the pack) but its what I need for this trip, I'll find some flagger's tape for the future.

I have a bright orange webbing strap that I got on amazon. It works well in idenifying my suitcase and no one mistakes it for theirs.

Do you really need anything at all? I've found that travelling with a pack, it stands out enough that I see it as soon as it drops on the luggage carousel, can spot it in a pile of luggage or on a bus. I also knew, without a doubt, that it was still in Australia even though I was standing in the airport in Frankfurt am Main. I try to pack cords and anthing hanging away, so it doesn't get caught as it 's moving through-more bits equal more chance of snagging and wrecking on something. That goes for tags, straps, doodads of all sorts.

so long as the straps aren't hanging from the pack and hey are sinched tight/snug that they won't get caught (hopefully) and if they do, who cares if it falls/breaks maybe that extra handling will make sure I get it? :P

Now I may be the only one with that kind of pack/luggage/suitcase what have you especially smaller the planeload but you do see blacks, greys, blues, they all have similar colors and its easy to mistake yours for another simply by color/style/shape until you get a closer look.

I want to be able to say "ok that green band around grey-black is mine" who has a green band around their luggage? Hardly anyone that I've seen.

Colored duct tape

if you want to go that route.

It is waterproof and holds well.
