Does anybody else get annoyed when you go on vacation or something and the hotel room doesn't have enough outlets? Like they only have one available outlet!. I mean, come on it's 2009, almost everything I'm walking around with in my pockets has to be plugged in at some point. So I've been looking into this new travel plugs thing from Monster: http://www.monstercable.com/power/trave ... _to_go.asp
Has anyone else tried one of these or heard anything about them. I want to make sure they are good before I go out and get one but they look like they are just what i need

I have one of those. It's a cool idea, but I never end up traveling internationally with it, since it requires a grounded American plug, and is kind of bulky. Now I just bring a little 3-way plug splitter, like the kind you can get at an electronics or hardware store. You can also take a short extension cord with multiple outlets at the end. It's more versatile but larger.

I can understand the international troubles, but couldn't you just use an adapter? But anyways, other than that which is a bummer traveling internationally, is this little thing a good pick-up?

If it's small, it seems like it would be a great device. However, after a quick Google, one of the user reviews I read mentioned it's not rated for international voltage, only up to 125v, but others have posted that it works internationally, the device just isn't printed with that information. The USB plug is handy, too.
Since they make a version called "Outlets to Go USB Worldwide", and since the two devices look identical except the "Worldwide" version comes with an adapter plug, I'd say it should function fine on higher voltage, as long as the devices connected to it are rated for 240. But it's still something to consider.
A lot of sites seem to misrepresent the dimensions, too, but it appears to be about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide/thick.

Sure you could, and I have to use an adapter with the little splitter I take too. But the monster cable device is pretty bulky. For much less space, I can use a tiny splitter to charge 3 devices. The monster cable thing is nice because it comes with a short extension cord, easily wraps up into a nice package, and is grounded. The last is nice in the U.S., but internationally I've rarely found grounded plugs, so that turns into a disadvantage.
From my perspective, its best use is for business travel in the US, where you're not as worried about weight and bulk and your hotel will have a grounded plug. For that use it's pretty convenient.
