I had visited Arunachal Pradesh about ten years ago. North East is grand for adventure travel. But I want to know can anyone travel in these regions or are there any travel companies? I want to know about the destination, accommodation, climate and mode of transport.

I knew of a couple that did 10-12 day camping tours around that part of India because outsiders were unsure of the safety. It is considered more dangerous now a days given some unrest in the region.

A special permit is required for visiting North East of India. I know a UK based adventure travel company which is operating adventure tours into North East of India.

Here is the website.

Safe travels.
