For people travelling by public transportation from Cajamarca to Chachapoyas:
Recently the Empresa Virgen del Carmen started to offer buses from CelendÃn to Chachapoyas three times a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Usually they leave around 9:30 am.
The other way around (Chachapoyas - CelendÃn) the buses leave on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, usually very early in the morning.
Sometimes the timeschedule changes from one moment to another, but the owner promised me it will stay like this for quite a while (don't blame me if he doesn't keep his promise!). They also have a telephonenumber now: 076-555238.
The rainy season is almost over, the road isn't very good, and it will take some years before they improve it, but it's not so bad either. The views are spectaculair.

I am planning a trip leaving Cajamarca on Sunday Oct. 12. Are there buses which would connect with bus from Celedin to Chacha that same day? would like to stay in Lemebamba that night. Do you know approximate arrival time? Because of limited time I am thinking of arranging for private car to go from Lemebamba to Chacha. doing Revash and Kuelap on way. Could you recommend any travel agencies to do this? Are there buses from Chacha to Chiclayo during day? Would like to take bus to Chiclayo on Oct. 15 or 16? How important and how difficult to make bus reservations for 2 people? What is the weather likely to be?
