For the love of the Great Turtle what have the BNA powers that be been smoking?
First off one is greeted with 3 articles of lists. Like every backpacker is interested in the 12 greatest pools in the world, DUH! Now I see why there was never a response to the long thread saying how stupid they were!
Second the insane blue is way too hard on the eyes.
Third the new blue sure doesn't match the old green on the right side of the screen.
Almost enough to make one go back to TT!
How come the similes no longer work??

As mentioned in the post alerting you to the coming change, there is a link where you can revert to the old theme if that is the one you prefer. You'll find that link under 'Community Activity' in the right column.
Thanks for letting us know about the smilies bug. We'll get that sorted out.

So it reverted to the old look, then I clicked on here to thank you & guess what, reverted back to the new one!
Now not only do the similes not work but neither does the first unread post link.

Same thing happened to me. I reverted to the old look but it didn't last.

Well, it loaded up the new version for me, then without me changing any settings, reverted back to the old one. It stayed that way for a few hours, then when I clicked to comment on this, it's flicked back to the new version. With the green in the side bar. I actually like the blue. But I haven't had enough time to really survey the new layout.

OK so this is what I now have; 1) old settings for the index
2) as soon as I click on a subject it reverts to new
3) NO smileys
4) NO link to first unread
5) worlds 12 best pools part 2 shows up between posts UUGGGG!!
6) as the only internet available here being cell modem it's unbearably
SLOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!
My motto; if it ain't broke, don't fixit!!
edit, just discovered 7) italics, underlining no longer works either
Oh well at least can still post if I have 3+ minutes with nothing better to do. Just love the "improvements"!

Not sure why, but the "use old theme" button is sketchy. It worked the first time I tried it, but when I tried to swap back it wouldn't stick.
However, the theme control in your profile admin will work.
Go to the "Your Profile Admin" page, Board Preferences tab, and select "prosilver" for your board style. Once you submit and go back to the main page, the change should stick. It has for me.

Thanks will try that & hope it solves the slowness problem, it's just too painful trying to post at these speeds. Would hate to be at an internet cafe in Myanmar trying post to BNA.

Thanks to the instructions of 2wanderers I managed to get the old version to stick & my speed is back to it's normal slow.
Must be the new version making it impossible for anyone having to use slower internet providers to post without pulling their hair out in frustration.

Hey. Is part of the new format that you can't delete your posts anymore? I cannot find the button. I accidentally multiply posted on the tipping conversation and there's no way to get rid of the extras.
Good Luck Out There.
