I am thinking about planning a trip to Peru or Ecuador for right after Christmas.

I have two questions. Will it be super rainy in Peru then, too much to hike comfortably? Also, will everything be shut down right after Christmas or will things just be closed on Christmas?

I was in Lima & peru mid January, the weather was pleasantly nice. I doubt I saw a day of rain; an occasional shower I did experience.
