Hey,
Anyone know how to go about taking a boat across Cambodia and then getting cheaply to Bangkok? I'll arrive in Phnom Penh by bus from Saigon. There might be a travel agency at the station, but I'm not sure so any help vastly appreciated!
thanks.

Phnom Penh to Bangkok by boat/bus? Advice?
Kyffin
Boats leaving Phnom Penh go North to Siem Reap or south to Vietnam. You can take a bus from Phnom Penh to Bangkok or a bus from Siem Reap to Bangkok. You could also make your way from Phnom Penh to Shihanokville, then north ( I think by boat ) and cross into Thailand at Koh Kong.

You can take the bus from Phnom Penh to Bangkok, via poipet.
Ticket is $14 one way and you can buy it at the main station near central market. Ride is about 15 hours, barring any breakdowns or flats, which are pretty common.

I just came across a post in a different topic referring to www.seat61.com and it looks really informative - buses trains and ferries....
