Hello all,

Is a PM sent out successfully in the forums if it appears in the Outbox or the Sent Messages? I replied to two PMs and they are both in my OutBox but not in my Sent Messages folder. Have they been sent? If not, how do I send them? Normally, when I send text messages or e-mails using other tools, my OutBox folder is a queue of messages waiting to be sent and then the Sent Messages are the messages that were actually sent. That's why I'm confused if the messages were sent or not.

I think your message goes from Outbox to Sent Items when it is read by the person you sent it to.

Karlien is correct. Those in your Outbox are waiting to be picked up by the recipient. The default setting is that members will also receive an email when a PM is sent to them, but this can be manually turned off in your profile settings.

Thanks all for your replies. It actually proved itself today as one of the members read their message and it left my outbox. I appreciate your quick reply.
