11 Apostles

Postby edh1138 » July 6th, 2005

Having been away from Melbourne for a few months I've just got back to discover one of the 12 Apostles has fallen down. Apparently it happened a week or so ago, changing the famous sight somewhat dramatically.

Eventually they'll all fall down so go see them while you can!

hehe, i think there was 9 only to behing with.. don't ask why they called it 12 apostles?!

Great ocean road, not a bad drive if you get too do it.
Time? No matter what you do, where you go or how you try, you will never get back a single moment you have already spent.

Giddy up!

yes, as far as i'm aware, they are now down to eight.

at least that's what this article also says

So maybe my photos of them back in Dec 2003 are worth something now?? eh, wishful thinking...

also, back in 1997 in the same area, a natural arch known as "London Bridge" collapsed, leaving two people stranded out on the pillar in the ocean.

The theory being that the other 3 Apostles are out at sea, requiring a boat or over-priced helicopter ride to see them!

Time to give them back their original name of the Sow & Piglets!

Gald I went when I did and was able to see all of them. Hey Capt Steve, looked at your photos...pretty awesome, they'd probably be worth something before all the apostles gone.
