LP's cost per day accurate?

Postby Liz in Japan » January 24th, 2004

Just a question for those of you who've done RTW's... are Lonely Planet's ranges on price per day accurate in your experience? Just trying to get a handle on costs. The hostels listed here on BNA seem to be below LP's accomodation costs, or have a budget price for what doesn't look like a budget room. Thoughts?

I have found LP's estimates to be a fairly good guide. Figure that they actually wrote the info therein at least a year prior, and with the US$ dropping like a rock, you may wanna take that into account. Your mileage may vary.
