''entry level'' backpacks
This seems to be the description given to any rucksack under £100! I'm considering either the Berghaus Antaeus 65 or the Karrimor Panther 65 for a few months in South America, and the budget is getting smaller by the day...any feedback welcomed please - they both seem pretty strong to me, and have all the features of some costing twice the price. Cheers!

How about the Berghaus Jalan 60+15 Rucksack? That one is much better suited for travel.
That, or the Karrimor Continental 65. Both are under the magic £100 price point.

Check out the decathlon stores/website. I've been using their gear for the past year and it's pretty durable stuff. Cheap too - my 50litre pack only cost £48 and it's stacked with features!!! Since returning for a couple of weeks I've revised the kit while I have the chance. I like the Berghaus/karrimor/north face brigade but sometimes it's just too good a product to just carry stuff in.

Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on....

Thanks - I looked at the Berghaus 'Jalan' but couldn't see myself wearing it (ugly and bulky and zero street-cred - just my opinion...) and have bought the Berghaus Antaeus which is really comfortable and smart too. Time will tell if it's the right choice!
