Hello! I am new to the Bali Forum here on BNA, but have been aorund some of the other forums for a while...
I'm currently teaching in South Korea, and am trying to plan my winter/spring vacation. I'm open to many countries, and Bali has been suggested to me. I am wondering if it's a good place for me to go...I am a 23 year old Canadian female, likely will be travelling Solo as there arent many teachers that can take the same time off. I dont surf, though I would like to try...I want to relax on the beach with a few books and watch people surf. I would like to do a little shopping, maybe hike a mountain, see a little culture and eat good food. The long flight from Seoul isnt a problem, though the price tag might be...
What do you think???
Tryin to plan a vacation...

You can still check out the tag index though.
What are tags?
If you haven't already, get thyself over to the Bali Blog. You'll likely be able to spend hours reading up on traveling to Bali over there. Another spot to while away the hours is the Bali Travel Guide. There are tons of travel articles there, and you can book whatever you need from that page as well.

As far as flight price goes, if you don't mind taking an extra day or so and seeing some places as you go, you could always have a look at www.asia-budget-airways.com for the budget airlines are continually expanding and it should be easy enough to cobble two or three together that might save a heap rather than using a major airline out of SK all the way.
www.tigerairways.com always seem to be having a sale on for this or that, and right now it's an anniversary of something or other and tickets showing for I think $0.02 it was, but always taxes and charges on top.
There's heaps of diversity in Bali, but as a single woman, you may want to have a well practised version of p..s o.f for when you want to use it, and go looking for quieter places.

Hiking, shopping, good food, beaches, watching people surfing. Yes its here. If that is waht you like to do, you will like Bali.
You might like the Bukit peninsula, which is in south Bali. There is clifftop accommodation in many places.
East Bali (Padangbai, Candi Dasa, Jasri, ujung, Amed ) is quite and lovely, on the coast, as is Balian in west Bali.
