Converter Plug for Germany to US

Postby ABCinATL » February 1st, 2007

Last year when I was in Germany I bought a hair straightener. My coworker found a plug that converts it from the 2 circular prongs that it came with into the US plug. However, it is not a good fit, and it never stays together so I'm forever having to push them together. Anybody know where I can get a plug that fits on the German plug and changes it to a US plug? Thanks!

Start with your local Radio Shack. If they, for some reason, don't have them, there is always Magellan's Travel Supplies. However, your main concern is whether or not the item can tolerate 110v or only works on 220v.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, when I bought it we checked and the voltage was compatible with US so that is not a concern.

I will check the link. I have seemed to have much better luck finding plugs for use in Europe, than for ones to convert their items to US plugs.

Thanks again!
