Please help me find a watch.

I need a ROBUST watch, which isn't too hard on the wallet, and has both an altimeter, and is dive ready. I can't find a divewatch with an altimeter, or a mountaineering watch which is waterproof past probably 20m. Please help.

That looks good, but what does it mean by water "resistance"?

100m water resistance according to the description. How deep do you intend to dive?

Yeah what does it mean by water 'resistant'? Is it not quite waterproof?

It means just what it says. It will withstand depths of 100m without being compromised. Most watch manufacturers today list the water "resistance" level instead of water "proof" due to some frivolous lawsuit way back when. It still means the same thing. You can safely dive down to 100m and your watch will not be damaged.

Sometimes they are only water proof ("resistant") if you don't press any buttons. I guess the button mechanism on some watches breaks the seal when pressed. I found that out the hard way.

a $2 han solo (hubba, hubba) watch from burger king should see me through 10 time zones, 6 planes, a tropical paradise and a glacier.

Mad
if not, i will be so pissed, i will see red.

i havent worn a watch since my 2000 visit to www.taize.fr in france. i've always found that somebody near me knows what time it is (pluse i can usually guesss within 10 minutes what time it is) for example, right now, i bet its 10:29 est

I'm going for the Suunto Vector. I don't really need the diving capability all that much, so this should be great.

I picked up High Gear's 'Alteera' off ebay for £70 out the box. Alti, baro, thermo, compass. Does the job. Taken it scuba diving (but only to about 15M). Got to be worth a search

I thinks it's pretty but what happened to Han Solo.
