Hello,
Before you reply, wanted to clarify that I meant to direct this to folks that had to apply prior to arrival not so much for safety sake but rather as part of requirement.
I saw on their website that some exception countries (India in my case, sometimes need to apply in advance)
Just wanted to check if there were any problems coming as part of an overland safari to visit Vic Falls.
Thanks,
Shri

I hold a south African passport and will be traveling with an American Group to Zambia next month, Confirm I do not need a visa and is the waiver automatic as I go through customs or do I need to do paperwork there .(how will I be processed compared to my group of Americans..will I wait for them or they wait for me)
If you need information regarding a Chile wine tour PM me.

Globe Trekker, Check with your tour operator about your visa requirements. If the country of the passport you are traveling on needs a visa prior to arrival, then that is what you need to do, it doesn't matter if you are with a group or not. I'm sure your tour guide wants the least amount of hassle at the border so will try to make sure everyone has the requirements that they need.
Pettersmith, I'm not sure what you are asking. If you are with a group, then I'm assuming you all wait for each before moving on.

The visa procedure when i last went in 2007 was simply pay $60 at the airport. There is a waiver program though if you are sponsored by the people you are staying with; this is not as complicated as it sounds, they simply have to send a signed letter to the airport with your passport number and other details on it, though in practice it doesnt always go to plan and i have requested my waiver to be met with odd looks before, though apparently it does work. Check on wikitravel or the zambian tourist board for the visa requirements of your nationality as some are different to others
