Hello travellers,
in March we are starting our around the world trip in Argentina.
In the first week we'd like to book a hotel.
I've heard about middle-class hotels for around USD 25.-, but in the internet
they are a lot more expensive.
Could you give me some advises how and where to book a hotel for a good price.
And how expensive are domestic flights in Argentina?
We're about 1 month in Argentina.
What can you recommend to do? What's a "must" to do?
Is it comfortable to travel with a camper van?
Thanks for your help!
Kind regards
Dietmar & Dunja

I just looked in my Argentina book, so take this with a grain of salt, but most of the Buenos Aires midrange places looked like they were more like US$40-55. Same thing in Mendoza. Down south seems a bit more expensive.

My husband and I are staying at a hostel called V&S in Buenos Aires which is pretty nice, centrally located and at $USD22/person, I think it's an ok deal. We got a 4-person room with a private bathroom, and have had one roommate each night.

In my opinion, i'd get to Mendoza (wineries), Bariloche (great lakes), El Chalten (fabulous day hikes and mountain ranges) and El Calefate (Perito Moreno glacier)... I loved the scenery around Argentina. Hope this is a start and some ideas of where to head to in Argentina.
