I started a blog in 2006 after I decided that I was going to blog all of my trips from then on. So far my blog has almost 200 entries and has taken me all over the world several times.

I created my blog using bootsnall. It was easy, convenient and if I got any hits maybe they would pick up some cash as well. So my question for all your travel bloggers out there are what are you statistics like? How long have you had a travel blog?

Currently as of right now my blog has 73821 hits and 10115 unique readers. I am just wondering if that is a lot relative to what others have to say.

Ooh, a competition! One which I have no chance of winning but I'll play anyway. I started my blog in July and have 2829 hits. Mine isn't really travel, since I'm expat in Canada. Actually I could hardly even call it an expat blog, since mostly it's just stories to let the folks back home know I'm alive. But it amuses me that random strangers are reading it too, especially when google thinks http://blogs.bootsnall.com/inuitandepidurals/nature-calls-whale-watching-in-tofino.html is relevant to someone searching for "whale theme bathroom renovation" or when I get spam comments on an entry like http://blogs.bootsnall.com/inuitandepidurals/three-new-mothers.html.
So congrats on your 70,000. I don't think I'll ever get that many hits, but if the people who do read it enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it, then that's enough for me.

I get about 25,000 unique viewers per month to the blog itself, then another 1,100 subscribers who get my daily RSS feeds and 7,500 who follow me on Twitter.
