India Visa in SE Asia

Figure out the best place to stay on Khao San Road in Bangkok and where to escape when you've had enough of the mayhem. From Singapore Slings to the changes in Bejing after the 2008 Olympics, gab about it all here.

India Visa in SE Asia

Postby happily lost » February 27th, 2009

I'm planning to go to India after visiting Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. Does anyone know if it is possible for an American to get an Imdian visa from the embassy in Cambodia? Vietnam? I know it can be done from Bangkok but can someone confirm if it takes 5 days? Trying to look at my options.

Thanks!!

Try using a travel agent, we used one for our Chinese Visa when we were in Vietnam it cost £1 for the service.

From what I have "read" yes it takes that long and longer if they want it to be.

For more info try Indiamike.com. Many Indiophiles on the site and you may get some current info. Check the visa section.
